Timing matters for tax registration. Here's when and why.
Registration Timing
Register immediately after KKF registration: Ideally within 1-2 days
At minimum: Within 8 days of starting business operations
Before:
- Opening a business bank account
- Making business purchases
- Hiring first employee
- Making your first sale
Required Triggers
You MUST register for taxes if:
- You've completed KKF registration
- You plan to operate commercially
- You'll have any business income
- You'll have business expenses
- You'll hire employees
- You plan to open business bank account
Even If Not Sure
When in doubt, register early. There's no penalty for early registration, but late registration has penalties.
Timeline Best Practice
| Task | Days |
|---|---|
| KKF Registration | Day 1-3 |
| Tax Registration | Day 3-5 |
| Bank Account | Day 5-8 |
| Start Operations | Day 8+ |
Avoid These Mistakes
âś— Starting business before tax registration âś— Opening bank account without TIN âś— Mixing personal and business finances before TIN âś— Delaying registration "until later" âś— Assuming KKF number is your tax number
Register early. It's easier to do it right the first time.
